Senator ‘Alleluya’ debunks reconciliation with Akala, says ‘I can never beg him’

Deputy Chief-Whip of the Senate and PDP Chieftain in Oyo State, Senator Hosea Agboola has rubbished the claims that he prostrated and begged Chief Bayo Alao-Akala some days ago. The politician who spoke to his supporters in an angry tone declared he would for no reason beg the ex-Governor of Oyo State.

He said he was surprised when he heard of a report on social media where he was said to have prostrated and begged Akala to forgive him with a promise to work for him to achieve his ambition for a second term.

The lawmaker was said he knew that Akala’s camps were behind the publication and that he will never have anything to do with him.

Paper Mache’s investigation revealed that there was truly an attempt to reconcile the two politicians, but the Senator was not comfortable with the move and he registered his displeasure with the peace makers before he stormed out of the venue.
Political calculations in the State was said to have been of the opinion that Akala needs the support of Senator Agboola who is believed to have the ears and support of the Presidency and many party chieftains for him to pick up the ticket of the party as the contender for the guber race  in 2015.

Senator Agboola had earlier disclosed in an interview with a statement ‘Akala is finished politically’ as he also aligned himself with Teslim Folarin whom he called the choice of the PDP in Oyo State for the next elections.

Former Governor Akala and Senator Hosea Agboola were best friends who come from the same area of Oke Ogun in Oyo State before their fight.

Ex-Governor Akala in a show of strength was said to have disgraced Senator Agboola during his mother’s burial some years ago in Igbojaye.

The Senator was said to have picked a dateand informed his Governor-friend, Akala (he was then a Governor) but Akala who people claimed was not comfortable with the grassroot influence his friend was wielding decided to teach him a lesson and picked the same date for his late dad’s memorial, an occurrence that denied Senator Agboola the quality crowd he expected at his mother’s burial which he vows not to forgive.

The popular lawmaker who is planning a return to the Senate is one of the few politicians that hold the party structure in Oyo State with Chief Alao-Akala would have ordinarily benefitted from.

Senator Agboola was among the few that sold the idea to the Presidency that to win Oyo State from APC, that the PDP will have to use an Ibadan man to unseat the incumbent Governor, Ajimobi who is also an Ibadan man hence explaining his support for Senator Folarin, another political foe of Akala who is also from Ibadan.

The permutation was said to have been working against Akala whose camp seems to be jittery and have been trying to reconcile him with warring factions within the party before the primaries which is set to hold very soon.
