Oyedele Reveals Secret Behind Remo Stars Impressive Form
Remo Stars football club striker, Abdullahi Oyedele has revealed that determination and hard work is behind the team hard earn 2-1 victory against Wikki Tourists at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium in Bauchi in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) game played on Sunday.
The Ikenne based team defeated Wikki Tourists thanks to goals from Dayo Ojo’s 10th minutes strike and Oyedele’s 62nd minutes goal before Salisu Adama reduced the deficit for his side from Mustapha Abdullahi’s corner.
In a chat with newsmen after the explosive encounter, Oyedele, who missed two NPFL game due to injury, said the team went with determination to retain the pole position on the league table and with hard-work and the prompt instructions from the technical crew, the team emerge victorious.
“We went to Bauchi with the determination of maintaining our top position on the NPFL table and it was a very tough game form us but with the superlative instruction from our technical crew, we are able to be calm and concentrate,” Oyedele said.
Speaking further, the former FC Slutsk of Belarus striker, who scored the second goal for the Sky Blue Stars after Andy Okpe found his way upfront from the midfield to give him an assist, said he is very happy that he can help the team to victory in their second away victory this season after an injury set back.
“I’m happy that I was be able to help the team to victory in an away game today after coming back from injury which I suffered against Heartland FC,” he said.
On what is next for the team, Oyedele said the players are well prepare and will not let the victory becloud them and focus on the next game.
“The victory is over and our next focus is the next game at home. Despite the winning, we still have a lot to do and will keep working. I will also do my best to keep fighting for the good of the team and keep scoring,” Oyedele added.
With the winning, Remo Stars maintain their position on the top of the league and they remain unbeaten in the NPFL alongside Rivers United.
