‘I Don’t Give A …’ Former Commissioner, Zach Adelabu Throws Lavish 40th Birthday Party Amidst EFCC Probe

Former Commissioner for Finance in Oyo State, Zaccheus Adelabu truly does not give a damn! The prominent godson of the Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi proved this some weeks ago when he threw a lavish party to celebrate his 40th years in Ibadan despite what insiders termed ‘heavy profiling from the EFCC’.
Zach was the man that handled the finances of the state for the first four years of the Ajimobi government and he was said to have been substituted due to his rising profiles and ambition, he was oiling some political machineries ahead 2019 and this did not go down well for his principal who quickly replaced him and made him a consultant to the State government on projects.
Such was his rising influence, he placed many monarchs in the state on salary and he was said to be a bigger spender that the state governor, Abiola Ajimobi.
His lifestyle and activities attracted the EFCC , coupled with the many petitions and fraudulent allegations about him and he became a regular at the commission’s Iyaganku, Ibadan office.
Many in the State did not know that Zaccheus played a major role in the case of the EFCC, Heritage bank and the arrest of Governor Ajimobi’s son-in-law.
Zaccheus was said to be far away in Dubai on vacation when Kolapo Daisi was arrested, he was called and notified by the governor and he took the next available flight home. The case which becomes dramatic everyday is already in court with the Heritage Bank Managing Director, Sekibo as one of the dramatis personae.
Zaccheus 40th birthday celebration was preceded by a heartfelt message in the dailies where Governor Ajimobi affirmed their closeness and wished a darling brother a Happy Birthday.
The celebration continues at the high class Casa Lucio in Ibadan where VIPs like the Oba Saheed Elegushi, Bisoye Fagade and many other prominent people were on hand to sing the man a tuneful birthday song.
