EFCC On The Trail Of Akpabio’s Men; Arrests Scott Tommey For N80B Intervention Funds

The Economic Financial Crimes Commission EFCC has arrested another associate of the former Minster for NDDC, Chief Godswill Akpabio, Scott Tommey.
Tommey’s arrest came some weeks after the commission picked up former gubernatorial candidate in Akwa Ibom State, Nsima Ekere.
Scott Tommey’ is alleged to have use his company, Osmoserve Global Limited to perpetrate fraud and launder money for former Minister, Godswill Akpabio.
He was said to have been arrested to explain his role in the 80 billion naira intervention fund to states under the NDDC during covid.
As at the time of filing this report, Tommey was said to have been released on administrative bail, but sources hinted that his phones and passport are with the EFCC.
Ardo Babayo Kumo, another man known to be close to Akpabio and the permanent secretary to the NDDC was also arrested some weeks ago, bringing to fact that the commission has beamed its searchlight on activities during the tenure of Godswill Akpabio who vacated the office to contest for the APC’s presidential ticket.
