CHRIST EMBASSY CHOIR MASTER ARRESTED FOR KIDNAPPING/ARMED ROBBERY

For Edward Nnaji, a Nollywood actor and the choir master of one of the churches under the control of influential Pastor, Chris Oyhakilome, the Christ Embassy Church, Zone 1, Idi-Mangoro Parish, Agege, Lagos it’s a tale of a day for the thief, and one for the owner.
The 25-year-old man who alongside some other suspects operate a kidnapping syndicate ran foul of the law when he was arrested recently by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad in Lagos for the kidnapping of a female banker, Popoola Morenikeji whom they collected 5 million naira ransom from.
Nnaji and her group kidnapped the banker in 2012 at Amuwo Odofin area of Mile 2, Lagos, brought her to Mowe, Ogun State where they kept her for four days before they demanded and were paid a ransom of 5 million naira by her family.
The four-gang robbery suspects were said to have devised another means to continue extorting money from the banker when they contacted her after two years of her ugly experience with them and demanded that she send some money into their account.
Morenikeji pretended to play along while she sent a petition to the Inspector General of Police who directed the Commissioner of the Police Federal SARS, Chris Ezike to fish out the suspects.
Edward who was arrested with two other members of his gang confessed to the crime and admitted he was a Nollywood actor and also the music director of Christ Embassy, Idi-Mangoro, Lagos.
The suspects were charged before an Igbosere Magistrates Court, Lagos on a four count charge of felony and armed robbery while the Magistrate in charge adjourned the case till 13th January, 2015 and ordered the accused to be remanded in prison.

EFCC Arrests Top Businesswoman, Aisha Achimugu

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) recently arrested prominent businesswoman and socialite, Aisha Achimugu, following allegations of fraudulent activities related to a multi-million-naira contract awarded to her company by a South-West state.
Achimugu, who serves as the Chairman of Bluewave Exploration and Production Limited, was detained last weekend after a civil society group filed a petition accusing her of involvement in dubious dealings concerning the contract. She was granted bail the following day but has been instructed to return for further questioning in the coming week.
Beyond her corporate endeavors, Achimugu is well-known in elite circles across Lagos and Abuja. Her social media presence showcases a lavish lifestyle, featuring exotic vacations, exclusive yacht parties, and private jet travels.

A source hinted that Achimugu was asked by the commission to report back on the 30th of March,2025 for further questioning.
Not really bothered by the investigation, the billionaire days after her arrest launched a 30-day feeding Ramadan programme where she targets the less-privileged.
