Barely few days to the end of Governor Abiola Ajimobi’s tenure as the Oyo State Governor, his sibling, Wasiu had a brawl with a close friend over who becomes the Oyo State governor in 2023.

According to a source within Ibadan, Wasiu whose sole claim to fame is his affinity to the Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi and his friend, a socialite with the name, Yahaya Badara hd some private discussion where Wasiu hinted him that his brother, Governor Ajimobi confided in him his plans to back Senator Teslim Folarin to secure the APC governorship ticket.

The governor was said to have hinted his brother of a strong feeling that Teslim Folarin has some leadership qualities than the defeated APC candidate in the last election, Bayo Adelabu.

Wasiu thought he was divulging a secret to a friend that could keep a sealed lip. Unknown to him Yahaya Badara recounted all he heard word-for-word to Bayo Adelabu when they met at a party.

A furious Adelabu whom many know to have been on the giving end to Wasiu when he was fighting to win the APC ticket called Wasiu on the phone and tongue lashed him. A source revealed that Adelabu even tagged him ‘egbon agbaaya’ (worthless brother) and slammed the phone on him.

Wasiu confronted his friend, Yahaya and a fight broke out at the Sabo area of Ibadan before the two men were dragged to the Mokola Police Station, Ibadan.
