Aftermath Of Failed Bye-election, Saraki Dumps Gov Ahmed, Retrieves Senatorial Ticket

According to news making the round, all is not well within the camps of the Senate President, Bukola Saraki and his godson, the Governor of Kwara State, Fatai Ahmed.
News breaker, Societynowng.com hinted that a review on how the PDP lost the bye-election in what is considered as Gov Ahmed’s stronghold in the State is what many cannot understand. The party fell heavily to its APC opponent and this called for an urgent situation analysis which did not go down well in the avour of Gov Ahmed.
A private investigation conducted by papermacheonline also revealed that the Kwara State Governor is not really in control, there are claims that his supporters were just carrying out orders for Saraki and the last election they proved a point to Saraki, a warning signal which the Senate President is not taking lightly.
One of the requests of the people of the Kwara South Senatorial district is that Saraki should return the ticket taken away from the incumbent, Senator Abdulrafiu which was given to Ahmed.
After a series of meeting the loyalists of Senator Abdulrafiu were able to prove beyond doubts that Ahmed cannot win the Senatorial race as they threatened to work against the PDP if he was imposed on them.
A source within the camps revealed that the results of the bye-election was very embarrassing to Saraki who had been appointed as the Campaign Director of the Atiku For President in 2019 and to save his face he had to listen to the wish of the masses and sacrificed the Senatorial ambition of Gov Fatai Ahmed who was quoted to have said ‘I can forgo my ticket for Senator Abdulrafiu Ibrahim if the needs be’ after a private meeting with his godfather.
Different factors were said to have contributed in the fall of Governor Fatai Ahmed from the party’s ladder, one of which is the certificate scandal of the PDP gubernatorial candidate, Razak Atunwa.
