Just some months into the takeover of Avian Specialties by the Asset Management Corporation Of Nigeria wife of Ibadan billionaire, Gbenga James, Funmi has packed out of their home.

 

The pretty woman who was handling the business after her husband was attacked by some unknown gunmen cited her husband’s unbecoming attitude as reason for her decision to leave the house.

 

Mr James is indebted to Union Bank to the tune of about N3B, a loan he received some years ago.

 

James was at a time the best friend of Governor Fayose of Ekiti State.

 

He was arrested some years by the EFCC to answer to questions on gross misconduct over a 800 million naira poultry project he handled for the Ekiti State government.

 

It was his ordeal with the EFCC and his confession that caused a rift between him and his Governor friend.

 

Insiders revealed that all his attempts to reconcile with Governor Fayose and seek his help met a brickwall, the Governor was said to have told friends he was done with him.

 

At the moment the Ibadan businessman who used to own the biggest digital hatchery in West Africa is trying to embrace whatever life throws at him, he is lonely with no friends and a wife to comfort him.

It was an assembly of the finest engineers and construction giants in Nigeria who converged on the Daylan Event Centre, Ibadan venue of the conference of a memorable night of honours and awards.
Kamaldeen Bello who recently bagged a Corporate Membership of Occupational Safety and Health Association UK shone like a northern star when the hall erupted at the mention of his names and citation as a Fellow.
According to the NATE, the Engineering body bestowed the honor upon the Focal Point boss for his achievements and contributions to the field of Civil Engineering.
With an enviable career devoted to the serving of God and mankind, Bello has worked in various capacity starting with Adpett Nigeria and later Danrin Engineering, the Nigerian Army and some other reputable institutions before floating his Focal Point.
At the event, the dynamic building expert whose essay ‘Moments Of Truth; How To Stop Building Collapse In Nigeria’ forms a literary debate in the Engineering and Construction industry stated that the honour was a proof that he is on the right track at this moment in his career.

The woman, Iyalode Alaba Lawson died in his Abeokuta home some days ago.

 

The woman who held the title of both the Iyalode of Egbaland and Yorubaland is said to have married the musician at her younger days. The brief affair produced a child.

At 72, Iyalode Alaba Lawson was widely respected. A prominent woman and record holder, the first Nigerian woman to sit on Naccima as president.
