‘Stop All Road Construction Where They Didn’t Vote For Us’ Gov Ajimobi Orders Contractors

The Oyo State Governor, Senator Isiaka Abiola Ajimobi is bitter! The reason behind his anger is not far fetched, Ajimobi lost his bid to return to the National Assembly as a Senator, he lost to Kola Balogun.

In the election Governor Ajimobi polled 92, 579 while his contender had 105,720 votes and won him with a close margin of 13,141.

The Governor claimed he was magnanimous even in defeat as he conceded to Balogun and congratulated him, but those in the know claimed Governor Ajimobi had serious regrets and anger with the election result. To make matter worse, Oyo State under his control lost the total Presidential vote to PDP.

The Governor wondered how and why it happened, despite putting resources in the right chanels, it’s not a good moment for Ajimobi whose ranking has dropped on the APC platform since the results was announced.

An angry Ajimobi vowed to get his pound of flesh as sources claimed the Governor had a meeting with some major contractors in the State and ordered them the stop the road construction in areas where the APC lost.

The Governor stressed that the major road construction from Ibadan to Eruwa must stop.

The project being initiated by the former Commissioner for Finance, Zach Adelabu was an important project the Governor hoped would give him a leverage and win him the support of the Eruwa people which is believed to be a PDP stronghold.
