OYO MAYHEM: PDP Youth Leader Cries Out ‘APC Are Liars, Their Thugs Are Behind The Attack’ (alleges Gov Ajimobi’s plan to cage opposition+how his men lure voters with 500 naira in exchange for voter’s cards)

The Youth Leader of the Peoples Democractic Party in Ibadan North/West Local Government, Alhaji Sharafadeen Alao has cried out to debunk the allegation making the rounds that he masterminded the violence that engulfed the Ayeye axis of the city where properties were destroyed and lives lost.
The PDP chieftain while in a conversation with papermacheonline revealed that some APC bigwigs were only trying to frame him up and got him arrested because of his popularity and his electoral values in the area.
In his statement Alao claimed ‘I dont know anything about what happened. We had our Ward Congress on that Monday and nobody can claim to have seen me around Ayeye that day. This is just political, I am a PDP member and what determines whether politicians from other parties will reckon with you is how strong you are. They will want to have a rapport with you. I am the Mogaji of a compound, so explain how I will go and bring thugs to attack and destroy my people, can you see they are out to tarnish my image and put me in trouble? Even they broke into my wife’s shop and took away her generator’.
Alao while responding to questions furthermore stated that ‘I heard that Governor Ajimobi called the Caretaker Chairman of our Local Government, Wasiu Olatunbosun and the SUBEB Chairman, Dr Busari Adebisi and told them he thought they claimed here was no longer PDP in Ibadan North/West. He queried them on the rally we had and how we were able to pull such crowd. The information I had was that the Governor instructed them to put us into trouble if they cant lure us into APC. So its left for you to decide who is causing the problem. I receive death threats on phone every day that I will pay with my life if I don’t join the APC. There was a time they even sent the SA Political and the Local Government Chairman to us to join their party! but we refused. So this is their plan and I know that God is on our side’.
Papermacheonline also learnt from Alao that the APC has fashioned a plan where they prevent PDP members to collect their voter’s cards, he alleged that what they now do is to offer people 500 naira, collect their cards, copy the serial numbers which they delete from the system and return the cards.
Problem started on Friday, 21st November, 2014 around the Oke-Ado axis of Ibadan when in the course of a political rally of the APC violence broke out and within the hours a Police Inspector was killed while other people present at the rally sustained various degree of injuries.
While the resident of Oke-Ado were still trying to record their losses violence again reared its head in other parts of the city where properties worth millions of naira were destroyed, the family house of Accord Party gubernatorial candidate, Senator Rasheed Ladoja was torched.
The vehicle of violence sped to the popular Ayeye area of the capital city again on Monday where PDP youth leader, Sharafadeen Alao was fingered to have masterminded the attack which he countered with different revelations to prove his alibi.
Papermacheonline’s reporter visited the Caretaker Chairman of Ibadan North/West, Honorable Olatunbosun Wasiu’s office to get his comment on the allegations and he was not available.
