Man Of The Moment; How Nsima Ekere Won APC’S Guber Ticket In Akwa Ibom

In a display that has continually showed his boldness and other sterling qualities, Obong Nsima Ekere has expectedly won the APC gubernatorial ticket for Akwa Ibom State ahead of the 2019 general election.
The primary election, which was free and fair, according to observers, saw Nsima Ekere recording a landslide victory as he polled a total of 160,458. The gentleman, whose mandate is to bring true and impactful governance into the hospitality friendly state of Akwa Ibom, defeated Mr. Dan Abia, who got 4,189 votes, Mr. Udoedege who had 2,015 votes and Dr. Efretuei, who got just 1,234 votes.
Obong Nsima Ekere, popularly referred to as ‘ONE’, has since been trending on social media. The hashtag #NsimaIsHereAlready has been abuzz the social media space and in major streets and iconic places in the state as tremendous support has been rendered to Mr. Nsima Ekere who is poised to wrestle power from the PDP-led incumbent governor, Mr Emmanuel Udom. Maverick and illustrious Ekere was born on May 29, 1965 in Ikot Oboroenyin, Edemaya Clan in Ikot Abasi Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State. He started his secondary education at Regina Coeli College, Essene, Ikot Abasi, and completed same at Mary Knoll College Ogoja, Cross River State. He had a brief but very exciting stint at The Polytechnic, Calabar, between 1981 and 1982 before proceeding to the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, where he graduated with B.Sc. Honours Degree in Estate Management in 1986. He is a fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Estate Surveyors and Valuers, FNIVS. He is also a registered member of Estate Surveyors and Valuers Registration Board of Nigeria, ESVRBN, a Senior Certified Valuer of the International Real Estate Institute, IREI, Minnesota, USA, and to boot, an associate member of the Institute of Revenues, Rating and Valuation, IRRV, London.

EFCC Arrests Top Businesswoman, Aisha Achimugu

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) recently arrested prominent businesswoman and socialite, Aisha Achimugu, following allegations of fraudulent activities related to a multi-million-naira contract awarded to her company by a South-West state.
Achimugu, who serves as the Chairman of Bluewave Exploration and Production Limited, was detained last weekend after a civil society group filed a petition accusing her of involvement in dubious dealings concerning the contract. She was granted bail the following day but has been instructed to return for further questioning in the coming week.
Beyond her corporate endeavors, Achimugu is well-known in elite circles across Lagos and Abuja. Her social media presence showcases a lavish lifestyle, featuring exotic vacations, exclusive yacht parties, and private jet travels.

A source hinted that Achimugu was asked by the commission to report back on the 30th of March,2025 for further questioning.
Not really bothered by the investigation, the billionaire days after her arrest launched a 30-day feeding Ramadan programme where she targets the less-privileged.
