Frills and Thrills, Isaac Fayose’s Golden Moment At 50

life begins at 50! This is what the Chairman of viewpoint Resort, Isaac Fayose wrote some days ago to caption the moments of his 50th birthday.
The outspoken businessman who recently donated his property in Ibadan to the use of the campaign of Peter Obi  rolled out the drums to celebrate what he described as ’50 years of grace and triumph’.
Joined by his mother,some monarchs,  friends and associates at his home in Lekki, Lagos the celebrant, a sibling to former Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose had a good moment.
The birthday celebration had earlier started when friends hosted him to a dinner which was attended by some popular entertainers who are his friends.
The party at his place started with an early praise and worship and snowballed into a gig where the guests danced to familiar old tunes with lot to eat and drink.
Isaac in his appreciation remarks during the ceremony highlighted his years, becoming of age and how he recently survived a kidnapping attack. He was full of praise to God and his loved ones.

Former Principal Secretary to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Ambassador Hassan Tukur was honored with a doctorate degree by the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso.

 

The induction was part of the programmes at the 16th convocation of the institution where other well meaning Nigerians like Tayo Adiatu, Air Vice Marshall Jacob Adigun, Madam Victoria Samson were all decorated with honorary degrees.

 

Tukur, in his speech said ‘ this award means a lot to me because I was supposed to be a lecturer. I’ve been honoured and awarded in many countries like the Equitorial Guniea, Cote de Voire and Niger Republic and I’ve gotten national honours for the services I rendered, but this is unique because I actually wanted to become a lecturer and being recognized in the academic world which I’ve always hoped to be part of, so it’s unique and appreciated. I’m from Adamawa State and LAUTECH recognised me, you can see the importance’.

 

Present at the ceremony were the Governor of Osun State, Demola Adeleke, Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Barrister Bayo Lawal, Professor Wale Omole, Streetjournal publisher, Wole Arisekola, IKEDC Director Sir Nelson Ahaneku, Hajia Asmau Tukur, Professor Mohammed Kaoje, Dr Nurudeen Mohammed, Professor Abdulahi Tukur, Ahmed Dangana, Molgengo Kaltungo, Kashim Tusmah, Bamanga Usman, Amina Bakari.

Heads To Roll As DSS Invites Security Companies Guarding NNPC Pipelines

A large scale investigation has begun into the recent discovery of illegal oil tapping from the NNPC pipelines as the Department of State Services has extended its invitation to security companies contracted to protect the pipelines for questioning.

 

A source hinted papermacheonline that the invitation is one out of many extended to individuals and companies by the DSS.

 

A former militant, Government Ekpemupolo popularly known as Tompolo made the discovery on major tapping points where international oil companies, security officials, oil bunkerers have been stealing crude oil for over 9 years.

 

Many influential individuals, government officials and high ranking security officials have been mentioned as part of the illegal tapping.

 

The President, Muhammadu Buhari is said to have instructed that no one should be spared and ordered thorough investigation.

 

The DSS has hinged its operations first on the security companies tasked with protecting the pipelines.

 

The security companies are believed to be complicit in the illicit act, thus explaining the invitation and investigation that will commence from there.

Be Oyo State Good Ambassadors In Holy Land -Makinde Charges Pilgrims

Oyo State Intending pilgrims have been urged to be of good conduct and good ambassadors of the state in the Holy land.
Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde gave the advice while bidding the intending pilgrims farewell at the Olodo Hajj Camp, Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
Governor Makinde, who was represented by the Chairman, Oyo State Housing Corporation, Barrister Bayo Lawal also charged intending pilgrims to cooperate with the chairman and members of the Oyo State Muslim Pilgrimage Board, Professor Sayed Malik.
The governor urged them to take cognisance of all the facilities provided for them and cooperate with all the executive members of Oyo State Pilgrims Welfare Board, urging them to be law-abiding follow the instructions of their guides.
He reminded them that their primary assignment in the Holy Land is prayer, charging them to pray for themselves, for Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole.
The governor also reminded them of the challenges facing Nigeria, ranging from kidnapping, banditry and terrorism amongst others. He charged them to pray for the country to surmount it’s challenges especially as the election year approaches.
While delievering the message of the state governor, Barrister Lawal warned them to abide by the laws of Saudi Arabia authorities and ensure that they protect their family image and that of Oyo State, warning them to refrain from drug trafficking and other illicit acts.
He also urged them to pray for Oyo State government to continue its infrastructure development strides.
Earlier at the event, Chairman of the Oyo State Pilgrimage Board, Professor Sayed Malik said the number of slot given to Oyo State is 779 due to drastic reduction by Saudi Arabia authorities which allows only one million pilgrims worldwide for 2022 Hajj. He recalled that outbreak of Covid-19 prevented people from performing Hajj in 2020 and 2021.
He urged people who are not able to go with the board this year to exercise patience and wait till next year.
Dignitaries at the event included former Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Senator Monsurat Sumonu, Southwest Women Leader of Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaja Bosede Adedibu, Personal Assistant to Governor Makinde, Mr. Akeem Azeez; Professor Musbau Babatunde who represented Secretary to the State Government, Mrs. Olubamiwo Adeosun among many others.

The first batch of the state contingent will depart Ibadan on Thursday 16th June 2022 for Lagos, where they will be airlifted to Saudi Arabia in the early hours of Friday 17th June 2022 .
