No fewer than 42 musicians including Evangelist Ebenezer Obey-Fabiyi and Fuji artistes, K1, Wasiu Alabi Pasuma and Suleiman Alao Malaika have signed up to perform at the coronation ceremony of new Olubadan- designate, High Chief Saliu Adetunji.

The installation of Chief Adetunji as the 41st Olubadan is slated for Friday March 4, 2016 in the ancient city.

Adetunji is a music producer and promoter under some record labels including Omo Aje Sound Studio.

The artistes are being coordinated by K-1, who is a major artiste on Omo Aje Sound Studio label.

Owing to the huge number of the artistes, it was learnt that each of them may not have more than 15 minutes to perform throughout the coronation ceremony. But the musicians are likely to perform on Friday and Saturday when the new monarch is scheduled to entertain guests.

Meanwhile, well-wishers are still thronging Chief Adetunji’s Popoyemoja, Ibadan residence to felicitate with him on his forthcoming ascension to the throne.

While cows are being slaughtered daily to feed guests, renovation work is also in progress at his residence to enlarge the compound in anticipation of large number of visitors.

The late Olubadan, Oba Samuel Odulana Odugade 1, joined his ancestors on January 19, paving the way for Chief Adetunji to be chosen as the new Olubadan.

Aftermath Of Wedding Rumour, Rukis Boss Ronke Ademiluyi Off Social Radar

In what many of her admirers tagged ‘nice move’, the clothier behind Lagos upscale fashion outfit, Ronke Ademiluyi has withdrawn into her shell.

To those in the know, the reason became necessary after her rumored affair with the newly crowned monarch, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife.

The story was everywhere that the monarch who had recently engaged on  peaceful visits to traditional rulers and politicians in the country was considering taking Ronke as his official wife, a plan that was aborted before it was actually conceived.

Sources claimed that the youthful monarch and his wife were having some marital issues before he was pronounced king and that he had been an item with the Rukis boss for sometime.

Though the monarch vehemently denied the allegation, but people close to him revealed that he was actually having an affair with Ronke and they were even known as couple among their friends.

The Ooni was said to be having some issues with his wife long before he became king and had resolved to spite the woman by taking a second wife who would actually take her position as the ‘Olori’.

The plan was said to have been ill-conceived and blown to the public with the media feasting on it calling for an abrupt cancellation.

It was also learnt that people close to the monarch warned him of such plans predicting a big scandal that would be too huge to manage.

The monarch was said to have listened to the word of elders and distanced himself from Ronke, a treatment the young woman could not believe.

All her calls to the young monarch were not picked or returned and the embarrassment she got from the supporters of the Ooni’s wife calling her a husband snatcher was enough to make her pack her bags and bid public life goodbye.

Her place of refuge is said to be the United Kingdom where she claimed to be working on this year’s African Fashion Week with little or no time to engage in other social engagements which was her pastime.

The cost of the lavish ceremony is put at a million dollars.

Screenshot_2016-02-04-11-52-28The anti-graft commission recently made real its promise of battling financial crimes at all levels in Nigeria by opening a branch of its office in Ibadan.

The commission is said to have fast-tracked the opening of its Ibadan office based on series of reports it receives on a daily basis.

A source revealed to papermacheonline that the commission has on its watch-list names of prominent residents of Ibadan who are politicians and had been involved in one financial crime or another.

The reason for the opening is to effect fast operation in the southwest so as to ease the pile-up of work in its Lagos and Abuja office.

Since the opening of the Ibadan office, papermacheonline gathered that there has been a sort of panic from some individuals who are suspected to be the prime targets of the commission.

On a visit to the new office located inside the GRA, Iyaganku, the photographer noticed the presence of armed policemen who stood guard at the prenises of the office.

The office is still undergoing some renovations while the white flag which represents the transparency and truthfulness the commission stands for had been raised alongside the Nigerian Green and White flag.
